Fun & Creative Ideas for your Photo Wall

Looking to create a photo wall? Here are some ideas that can inspire you to make your wall the centre-of-attraction in your house.

A photo wall is not just a decorative option, but an activity that involves your active participation and creativity skills to bring out something pretty, unique, and which represents the happiness inside you. Here are some ideas involving photo frames, chalks, tapes, and other colourful accessories that will inspire you to decorate your wall with some amazing options.

Mosaic Wall
Bored of looking at your plain not-so-pretty wall? A photo mosaic can do wonders to lighten things up. Take a large sheet of coloured paper and stick it up the wall. Now, pick some photos that are close to your heart, that cheer you up, or contain people that are close to you; you can take these photos and stick them directly on to the coloured paper, or you can also insert the pictures into photo frames, before sticking them up. Although, if you are using photo frames, you might want to consider choosing a thicker version of a coloured paper, along with photo frames that match it in colour.

Beach on a Wall
Who said that you can only put photos inside your photo frames? If you have a wall that sits behind or in front of the dining area, you can turn the wall into your own personal beach. What we mean by this, is that you can take some of your favourite flat-shaped beach souvenirs (such as shells and marine plants) and put them inside the photo frames. This will give your dining room a classy beach-look.

Chalkboard Gallery
If you’re good at art, a chalkboard gallery can be an excellent choice for a photo wall option. Take some photos and stick them up on the wall, while remembering to keep some space in-between the photos. Now, take a piece of chalk and draw frames around each photograph. You can choose different frames for different pictures and assign different colours of chalks for every frame. This idea is the most affordable of the lot and requires just some artistic skills from your end, to be executed.

Tape Frames
Like the chalkboard gallery mentioned above, you can also use tapes to make up the frames of your photos. Simply stick your pictures on the wall and stick pieces of tape on to the pictures in the shape of a frame. You can make different frame patterns with the tapes and also use tapes of different colours to make you photo wall look pretty and colourful.

Wallpapers
Did you know that your wallpaper need not have random patterns and shapes, but can also be made of your favourite photos as well? An excellent way to go about this is to select your favourite images and apply filters to them that will let them match the furniture in your room. You can then get the photos printed into custom wallpaper sizes and stick them on to your walls.

Photo Windows
Decorate your walls with window frames. No, you don’t have to build 4-5 windows on your walls, you only have to take one or two old window frames/doors, stick photos on to the square areas of glass and then hang the window frames on your walls. This will make your wall stand out and give your room a pretty unique look.

Excited? You should be. Try out some of the ideas stated above to give your wall a photographic makeover.
