We all have that one friend who hosts the most perfect dinner parties. Her parties are such that you don’t feel like leaving and going back home. Wondering how does she do that?
Well, we have put together 3 Must-dos to be a brilliant host and host the most memorable parties!
1. Make your guests feel comfortable- As an excellent host, you need to know about the likes and dislikes of all your guests in advance. You have to make sure that there is something for everyone in your party. From food and drinks to music and games, make sure all your guests are comfortable, and there is something to do for everyone.
You also have to make sure that none of your guests feel out of place. If you see someone sitting by themselves in the corner, go over to them, talk to them and introduce them to someone with similar interests/background. To put it simply,
2. Dinner- See to it that all your guests are well-fed the entire night. We do not mean that you have to keep serving food all night. It works best if you keep a buffet table and set up the food there before everyone arrives. That way, your guests can have food as and when they please. You could also have a movable trolley with all the plates and cutlery so that you don’t have to run to the kitchen every now and then.
3. Be yourself and have fun- Nobody likes a formal host. Be yourself in your party! Some things might not go as per plan and it OK. If you are yourself in the party, your guests will feel more at home. Lastly, it is your party, and you have worked really hard for it, so make sure you have some fun. Sit down and relax with everyone. You can do the dishes and clean up tomorrow. First, spend some quality time with all your guests!
When all of your guests are having such a good time that they forget to check their phone all evening; well that is where you have succeeded as a brilliant host!
