Sweat
stains can be notoriously difficult to remove, but Vanish stain removal powders
have all the answers.
The world over, there is growing awareness about the
benefits of being fit and eating healthy food. A lot of people in different age
groups are taking to exercise in a big way. Whether they go running in the park
or sweat it out in the gym, more people are embracing fitness as a way of life.
But if there is one side-effect of exercise that you can do
without, it’s the horrendous sweat patches it leaves on your workout clothes.
These sweat patches are most noticeable under the armpits, the waist band and
around the collar. If the clothing is white in colour, the sweat patches soon
turn yellow and are instantly visible. They may take a while to become visible
on coloured clothing, but either way, you might need to discard the clothing
for new ones.
Instead of junking your sweaty clothes, you can try giving
them the Vanish treatment for stain removal. With Vanish, it’s never a question
of ‘How to get rid of sweat stains?’ but ‘Why didn’t I do this sooner?’
How to get rid of
sweat stains using Vanish
Clothes that are sweaty must be washed and cleaned as soon
as possible. Avoid using clothes that you have already used – when exposed to
repeated bouts of sweat, the fibres absorb the sweat again and again and the
garment becomes difficult to clean. Not only does stain removal become tougher,
but the smell of sweat doesn’t leave the fabric either.
·
Once you notice a sweat stain in your white
clothing, soak it in clean water to which you must add Vanish Oxi Action
Crystal White powder, as directed. White clothing must be soaked for six hours.
After six hours, remove the garment and wash it in the washing machine. Add one
scoop of Vanish Oxi Action Crystal White to the laundry load to remove the
stains completely.
·
For coloured clothes, add Vanish Oxi Action
Powder to cold water and soak the garments for an hour. After an hour, remove
the garment and wash it as usual after adding one scoop of Vanish Oxi Action
Powder to the laundry load.
·
You might need to repeat the above treatments,
based on whether the garments are white or coloured.
What not to do with
sweat stain removal
Keep your clothes away from bleaches and fabric whitening
powders. These products cannot remove sweat stains. In fact, they darken the
stains and make them worse. Also do not entrust sweat stain removal to your
usual detergent. Detergents are not designed for stain removal.
